The mysterious force tangles my wires

The scientists have done it before and they can do this again. They have answered the most complex questions and mysteries of the nature. From gravity to deep space, they have found the reason. But I am unable to understand one thing - Why do all my wires get tangled up. Whenever i keep my laptop mouse, headphones, phone charger at one place, after some time all the wires are messes up and try to mingle with each other.
Is it that they like each other ?
Or they like to get close to each other?
What makes them intertwine ? I never do that !!! I just keep them side by side .
Which mysterious force is behind this ?

I hope one day somebody will answer my question.

Fall of Indian IT or will it be Rise of Phoenix ?

Uncle Sam has done IT !! He can do anything to save itself. And this time its the Indian IT sector that is at the receiving end. So what will be the future of IT in India - Does it mean that there will be less outsourcing, less jobs ?
We feel great by working for the American's and earn from their outsourced low end jobs. They feel that they (Americans) should do the high end work and leave the pitty work for us to do, and we take it all happily. But what will happen now ??
While pondering on this issue we also need to ask ourselves -
  1. Till when will we continue to depend on Uncle Sam ??
  2. Why can't it reverse ?
Its time to move on and not just follow. We are known to be intelligent, the whole world approves it - even President Obama says it, then where are we lagging ? Why don't we lead the world in research, Why don't we have companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple.. We are not innovating, our universities lack proper research facilities and the drive for research. We only work for the foreign companies( We do help oracle, google, intel to develop their products). We work at NASA, we top in many foreign universities, but we do nothing in India.
Except for the few. I really appreciate the work done at our version of NASA , the ISRO( we say it that way only and not NASA - american version of ISRO). But still we have a long way to go.
Even though we are known to have brains, the west lead in innovation and technology. So what are we best at ?? I am attaching a small write up by my sister which does explain the situation a little bit.
""And sometimes I wonder about the future of India where the entire system of education is so screwed up. Every year our education system churns out an assembly of so-called perfect products. The primary education kills the curiosity, the secondary butchers the creativity, the senior secondary wipes out any desire left to learn, the graduation compromises the strength of character, and the post graduation adds the perfect cherry on the perfect cake giving the false sense of maturity and overestimation of self-worth to the already rusted brains, closed minds and distorted personalities. In a span of 20-24 years, the society and our education system converts the kids into a machine that is a part of the herd with no clue about where they are and where they want to be. The few thinking minds and fewer thought leaders have a direct and unfavorable impact on the development of our society and its future.""

So we are the followers, the direction seekers and not the dirfection givers. For our IT industry to survive, we wil have to step up the ladder and enter the research area, we need to be product oriented rather than service oriented country. We need to give software products to the world and not just services , only there lies the hope, else IT will all fall.

I Won't vote !!!!!!

Amidst the big media campaign endorsed by many to vote, there are people who have their reasons not to vote. The low polling in Mumbai is an indication to this fact. Ignoring these facts is damaging for the democracy. A democracy must find out the reasons that keeps its voters away from the booths. Many think that voting to be made compulsory, but without exploring these reasons, making it compulsory would rather harm than benefit.
In all this, I am also the one who does not want to vote from my constituency and Its because of the government policies. My constituency is a reserved constituency for Schedule caste ( one out of 84 reserved constituencies ) and always the persons from this section has represented us.
Some questions i would like to ask from the government is -

* Does only the SC from my constituency need the push, what about SC's of other constituencies ?
* Don't other's deserve this privilege ?
* Can't the allocation of reservation be done on rotational basis ?

Ambala has not developed to an extent it could have, given its favourable location with 5 national highways (NH 1, 22, 65, 72 and 73) passing through it. It is the gateway to north, someone coming from Delhi side has to cross Ambala to reach places like Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jammu, Simla, Chandigarh and many more. Only few others would boast of such a locational advantage but still Ambala is not among the major cities. Still we have to run to Chandigarh for high end medical needs, coaching for engineering, MBA, good sports facilities etc.

Why is that my constituency always has to do a favor ? Why not others also get a representative from the SC community ? Or the gov wants only the SC population of my constituency to rise ? If the rule was made for the benefit of these people, it should have been for all the constituencies. SC/ST from other constituencies should also get a chance( and spare mine).

It seems like next to impossible to implement. Because those having this privilege will not like it to go and those who are spared will not like to leave their seats to come under reserved category and we say-
" VOTER HAS THE POWER". Where is it - show me too.

"We are like parrots freed to fly but with rope tied to their feet "

I will be glad if somebody can take up the matter and do something about it.

Go green India

We all hear about saving environment and global warming but hardly anyone of us does anything in this regard. We all think that we would need to leave our comforts behind to do something for the environment. But we all can do small-2 things to lessen the destruction and even help ourselves by saving costs and money.
Here are some things we can do:
At home:
A.C. – I don’t suggest switching them off during the scorching heat, but keeping them to normal temperature. Many of us shiver while A.C. is on but do not switch it off. Many A.C. these days come with automatic temperature control that can be used at night. It automatically increases the temperature at night to normal thus avoiding the chilling effect and use of blankets with A.C.
Use CFL – A 15 watt CFL uses 1/3rd the energy from normal tube light and incandescent bulb. It saves your electricity bill and lessens the impact on environment.
Switch off unnecessary lights: Switch off the lights that are unnecessary lit.
Use Solar energy – Though the initial costs are high, but they tend to be cheaper in the long run. Use solar water heater.
Use star rating electrical appliances: Star rating appliances consume less energy. More the stars, more is the savings.
Some things that are require some research:
Optical fibre lights: Use of optical fibres during the day time to direct the light from outside to the dark corners of the room. We all know that optical fibres are good conductor of light. We all have used those showpieces with white fibres, these are optical fibres. If we can use them optimally for directing outside light in adequate amount, they can become free of cost lightning source.
Energy efficient Gas Stoves: Find a way to transfer solar heat to Gas stoves just like we do in our power plants. This will reduce energy consumption by the stoves.

Home designs:
We can save a lot if we do some research in building designs and improve the architecture of our buildings and keep in mind certain things:
• Use of materials that reflect away light: such as some sorts of glass windows or discover paints to reflect away heat.
• Ensure proper airflow
• Natural light: Keep the provision for natural light so that one does not need to lit lights during the daytime. Use adequate windows or the dome.
• The rooftop: While fitting the tiles on the roof, try to use some insulator between the roof ground and tiles. These will reduce the impact of the heat. Mud with dried straws can also be used.
• Discover some insulators for wall also.
• Roof Garden: If possible a garden can be built on the roof; it also prevents the roof from heating up.

Outside:
• Switch off car on red lights.
• Try to use public transport and car pooling.
• Plant trees.
Some things on large scale:
Already people in other parts of the globe are working on this, but if we (Indians) can also do some research on these, it will help us a lot.
Find newer ways of producing electricity like
Piezoelectric Floors: Piezoelectric materials produce electric current once they are pressed. We can produce electricity by using these circuits on the floor and our movement will press these floors and produce electricity.
Windmill in the sky: A group pf researchers have made a helium filled balloon in the shape of rotor fitted with generators. It is used at a certain altitude as air flow is much more at an altitude.
• Search more areas where kinetic energy can be used to create electricity: Like machines in the Gym (I don’t know much about it, but it can be used to generate little amount of electricity of course.)

Human Marvels !!! - Any where in world only in 42mins 12 secs

Our earth is a marvel created by God. We humans are also his creation. Now His creation is creating more marvels and technology is going far beyond our imagination.
Have u ever imagined that we can reach anywhere on this earth in just 42 mins 12 secs and that too without the plane, sounds amazing and quite impossible !!! but may be some day we can and that too in a train. Yes, in a train..... without burning too much fuel.
Scientists have come up with a new thought - to dig tunnels through the center of the earth - a crazy idea indeed. Then the gravitational pull will drive us to our destination. But there are many hurdles to be solved before this type of train comes to reality.

Hats off to our engineers and researchers..

My dream - travel across the world !!

Our life (specially in India) is so much centered on the economic activities, or say studies, just to get good jobs, that we leave behind some of our dreams and fantasies. We donot do justice to them, We spend years studying to get thru the entrance exams or getting a degree, but taking a week out for luxury has become difficult. We are trapped, and need to be freed. Many musicians, artists, poets, singers "die" due to overlooking these talents. During my MBA, I met a person (Reimi) from France, he came to our campus on student's exchange. Their way of living a life is totally a different game. In a short span of 3 months that he stayed in India, he had travelled more that i had done in my 23 years. After reachin India and getting the legal dociments, he rushed to see Rajasthan, then to varanasi - a placed really liked by the French students, went to Goa, Nepal, Leh and now he plans to visit the Himachal base camp. And all that time we, the Indian students were thinking of our marks, attending lectures to avoid grade loss...
I also have one dream (apart from many other) - To TRAVEL ACROSS THE WORLD, I want to see, enjoy the beauty of nature, from high Himalayas to deep oceans. And if lucky to break free from the binding force of the earth. And i blame/thank Discovery channel for mine dream.

Some of the places I like to see:

Malaysia - The beauty of the Malaysian beaches have enchanted me from so long, its clear waters, amazing scenic beauty, the beaches - a paradise on earth. Spend time sitting on the beach with feet in water just like the one in figure on the side. Go their and enjoy in lap of nature.
Things i want to do:
Scooba diving - To explore the beauty beneath the surface of water. See the marine life, beautiful fishes and coral.

2) Grand Canyon - The beauty of rocks carved by the water is really a attraction. Now it also has 'Grand Canyon Sky Walk' - an amazing
of work that gives a nice view of the valley.

3) Niagra Falls - The massive volume of water flowing

through the falls provides an amazing view and going near the falls through the boat ride must be really exciting. Would love to visit the place.

4) Himalayas - My next destination is the Himalayas - to see the world from the top most point. But have no plans to trek to the peak of the mountains, may be a helicopter takes me to that place. In fact, i would love to trek to its base camp, i.e. somewhere at the height of 5000 mts. The idea of base camp came from Reimi, as i mentioned earlier.

5) The next destination is the space, go beyond the boundaries of Earth and enjoy the beauty of blue ball from the top. This destination, i know is very difficult to achieve, unless i hunt down a treasure or scientists find a cheap way to travel to space.

will cover more places later on
- LEH
- Adventure sports
- Kerala
- Switzerland

The fault is ours !!!!! Politicians alone are not to be blamed...

When i picked up today's Sunday Times, i was amazed by the headlines "BJP attacks 'Christian' Chaplin", What a **** was my immediate reaction. Of all the issues in the world, they could find something to make an issue off.
We have seen that the politicians are using religion to bake their own bread. And particularly, BJP has always been successful in coming up with issues of 'Hindutva ' during the election days. ( I need not comment more on this)
Some people fall prey to their game while others simply curse/blame the politicians. Most of the religious riots are started by some people who have their vested interest but its only the common man who suffers.
Now calling Charlie Chaplin as Christian and that it will hurt the Hindu sentiments, i don't think that most Hindu's while enjoying Charlie Chaplin's play would have ever thought that he is christian and in any way he has hurt anyone's sentiment. It is one of the wildest thing that one can think, but our politicians are good at it.
Now the election is in air, we will see more things like this coming up. But it is upto us not to let somebody rule us with these nonsense.
